Between 1971 and 1972, a radical gay activist group performed a series of six dance actions protesting a discriminatory Danish law used to ban same-sex couples from dancing together in public space. The Swedish artist Conny Karlsson Lundgren created the work (Dissident) Dance Actions, "in which feelings and movements — physical as well as political — are expressed through choreography." (Dissident) Dance Actions was commissioned by Moderna Museet Malmö in co-production with Inter Art Center and Skånes Dansteater.
